Wuthering Heights
I’ll admit this book was always on my list, but moved up in priority due to an inspiring movie poster I’ve seen strolling around town.
The novel is quick and kept me reading, and I enjoyed it’s dark and tragic elements. I haven’t read any other Brontë works, so can’t give any comparisons there. It’s similar to Pride and Prejudice in that it’s a story about people visiting each other’s houses, but honestly that’s about it. The characters and setting are completely different.
Perhaps I will check the movie out, but given that I didn’t even make an effort to watch the new Frankenstein movie (I recommend all 3 titles I name-dropped!) only time will tell.
